Terms of Engagement - Will Writing Services
These terms are based on the current Kaeso Legacy engagement letter and set out the scope of service, process, fees, and client acknowledgements.
1. Scope of Services
- Guidance and collection of the necessary information for your Will.
- Drafting of your Will based on your instructions.
- Optional services such as attestation and witness coordination, explained separately.
- Complimentary delivery of your final signed Will to any Singapore address.
Please note: Kaeso Legacy does not provide legal or tax advice. If such advice is required, please consult a qualified lawyer or tax adviser.
2. Process Overview
- Engagement and Information Gathering: We guide you through our secure online form to capture your instructions and preferences.
- Drafting: Once full payment is received, we aim to deliver your first draft within 5 to 7 working days (longer timelines may apply for complex instructions).
- Review and Amendments: Reasonable amendments are available on request via email so your Will reflects your wishes.
- Finalisation and Signing: If you sign independently, a Self-Attestation Acknowledgement Form is required before final Will release. If you engage Kaeso for attestation services, signing is done with arranged witness support.
Important: The Will must be signed and dated on the same date indicated in the attestation clause.
3. Fees
Kaeso Legacy offers three fixed-price will-writing packages - Essential, Standard, and Comprehensive.
All packages include a Will Summary Memo, complimentary local delivery, and reasonable amendments to your draft.
Optional add-on fees may apply (for example, additional executors, beneficiaries, guardians, or attestation services).
4. Validity of Draft
Drafts remain valid for 60 days from the date of issue. After that, additional fees may apply for significant updates or re-drafting.
5. Personal Data Consent
- You consent to providing personal data for Will preparation purposes.
- Data may be securely stored, including on cloud systems that may be hosted outside Singapore.
- Data will be handled in accordance with Singapore's PDPA and Kaeso Legacy's privacy policy.
6. Client Acknowledgement
- I understand Kaeso Legacy does not provide legal or tax advice.
- I consent to personal data collection and use for will-writing services.
- I agree to receive communications related to your Will via email.
- If attestation services are not engaged, you are responsible for arranging proper legal execution of the Will.
- Proof of identity may be required before release of the original Will.
